2111
2111 was the first stereoscopic 3D movie in Egypt. It was screened at CAIRO MET in February 2010 by Mercury Visual Solutions, a leading post-production house in Cairo.
I had the pleasure of working on 13 shots in this short movie. My tasks included taking the CG environments from the 3D department with some geometry for the scenes, to project some futuristic screens. Also i keyed the live action talents shot in stereo used them in the CG plates, color matching and some roto. I used The Foundry’s Nuke as it has all the tools i need for these kind of jobs.

Mohamed Ali Mosque
Mohamed Ali Mosque was a project i worked on at Mercury Visual Solutions, it’s 100% CG rendered in Stereo. I was assigned this project to comp the CG passes, add a sky dome, atmospheric effects, and fix camera alignment issues.
All of the 3D render including Modeling, Shading, Texturing, Lighting, and Rendering was done by a friend of mine and a very talented 3D artist Mohamed Saleh.
All the compositing was done in Nuke, using the built in tools and Ocula.
